Tell us a little bit about yourself, Olivia.
From the quiet Yarra Valley girl to FHM cover girl I feel like my life story has evolved a lot in the past 12 months! I’d always dabbled in modelling but being presented on the cover of this magazine has offered some amazing opportunities for me including travel to Africa, Thailand and Fiji – thank you! I was then fortunate enough to start freelance modelling both in Australia and in London and since then I have set out some big plans for myself in 2020.

What would people be most surprised to know about you?
I’m a bit of a spiritual guru, I love crystals and oracle cards and truly surrounding myself with healthy energy through self-talk and daily rituals.

Describe yourself in five words.
Goal-driven, loyal, curious, spiritual and down-to-earth – this totally encapsulates my star sign, Taurus.

What is your best asset?
I really appreciate my compassion for other people. Physically, I’d say that I am complimented on my smile a lot. I love this because it just makes my smile bigger.

When do you feel sexy?
Looking after my body, my mind and creating a daily focus around my eight dimensions of health! I can’t stress enough that self-love is far more important than just putting on a sexy persona — feeling truly sexy is the embodiment of your own relationship with yourself.

What do you do when you’re not posing for FHM?
Bookkeeping, entrepreneurship, travelling and gym!

What do you look for in a man?
I don’t look for anything. If the chemistry is real then I trust myself that this person is worth investing time in.

What is your life motto?
As we grow, we change and my motto changes quite often depending on what’s resonating with me at the time. At the moment my current motto is, “Live and let live” – it motivates me to focus only on what I can control and let go of what I can’t. It’s great and it just really makes me chill out!

What’s next for you?
I’ve been working tirelessly on releasing an online women’s fitness apparel store in 2020 and I plan to have this all come to life in the coming months! Not only is this keeping me busy but I have also teamed up as an ambassador with some pretty exciting brands this year who I can’t wait to announce soon.

Give us a little more background about yourself, Mattie.
I’m a southern girl from a small county in Florida. I was raised in the waters doing a lot of fishing, travelling, and exploring the world. Most of my life has inspired me to go above and beyond with everything that I do. I have always been a free spirit, I set a positive vibe to everyone and everywhere I go.

What would people be most surprised to know about you?
There is actually a lot to be surprised about when it comes to me. Every day there is something new that I am trying to do. I surprise myself all the time.

You travel around the world for your job, what’s been the most exciting country or city you’ve visited and why?
I got into modelling because my mother and great grandmother did it and I always admired their beauty. I’ve been in the industry for three years now and the most exciting place I’ve had the pleasure to visit was Mozambique, South Africa. I love nature and the beauty of their nature is stunning.

Being our Woman of the World this month, where in the planet would you like to take a vacation?
I would love to visit the Maldives — next on my list!

Have you ever been to Australia?
Not yet, but I’m hoping to visit soon!

Besides “G’day, mate”, kangaroos and koalas, what else do you know about Australia?
Spiders! You forgot spiders!

You recently appeared on the cover of FHM New Zealand — how was that?
So exciting I love seeing the final project. It’s so much fun!

When do you feel sexy?
When I’m behind the camera — it just brings out a different side of me.

What is your best asset?
My hair because it’s a woman’s crown. Maybe my smile, too, because it’s contagious. I’m always smiling and laughing, so I’l have you laughing all of the time.

What have you learnt about men over the years?
There is no magic age where men suddenly become perfect.

How does a man win his way to your heart?
A man can win his way to my heart with manners and by being a gentleman. And chicken nuggets, of course.

Would you ever date one of your social media followers?
It could always be a possibility.

What’s the weirdest thing someone has sent you via social media?
Somebody once asked me to give them public wedgies.

Where would you like to be in five years?
I want to be an inspiration to our upcoming generation because they are our future and the future is so bright. Yes, I have other major goals and dreams that I’m striving to achieve, but what I really want is for others to love themselves. Loving yourself is the best thing you could ever do. Don’t compare yourself to anyone because you are a thousand times enough.

“During Destination Thailand I learned multiple fundamentals on how to expand not only my modelling career but also myself. Being around other experienced professionals in the industry inspired me to level-up and go even further. That next step for me was taking full control of my social media and using it as a business platform. Posting branded images, consistently, day-to-day on my Instagram, as well as being engaging with my followers has resulted in a major growth. I’ve grown from 38,000 followers to 76,000 (and still counting!) followers in just two months. This has had an enormous effect on my personal brand to the point that other brands started taking notice in me and my page. Once I knew I was going to return with FHM Australia in Bali, I decided to learn from Thailand and take advantage of the opportunity by creating content in such a beautiful villa.

While I was focused on creating content for my Instagram I was also ready to carry on the vibes from Thailand into Bali for these FHM photo shoots. The villa we stayed in was magical – it was located right on the beach’s shore and overlooked the crystal blue waters of Bali’s ocean. Imagine waking up to the sounds of waves every morning – I couldn’t get enough of it! The FHM team was amazing to work with, once again, to say the least and it was great being able to meet new models from various locations around the world. Our photo shoot locations were in the villa as well as taking full advantage of the gorgeous sands wearing Mary Holland lingerie. At one point we were even able to see monkeys! Overall, FHM Escapes – Bali was an unforgettable experience and I’m entirely grateful to have met and worked with the FHM team. Thank you so much for believing in me and creating magic together.”
